PEMAQUID POINT 2001

BACK TO FAMILY NEWS             HOME

The only disappointment of the whole trip was my picture taking abilities.  I accidentally deleted the first 36 pictures!  That wasn't too bad since they were all of the lighthouse and the old Pemaquid settlement ruins.  I was able to go back and take more.  Those actually turned out pretty well. But most of my pictures of the wedding and reception were pretty bad.  I guess I'd better not give up my day job!

Here are a few pictures from the wedding and reception.  They are not great pictures, but you can get the idea of what a beautiful setting it was for a wedding. Click on the pictures for a larger view.

This is Bonnie and the groomsmen at the reception. Some pictures from the reception.  The children really enjoyed the bubbles and all the dancing.  They had way more energy than they could possibly need!

Becky and I had the opportunity to do a little sightseeing.  The pictures below were taken the weekend of the wedding.  Click on them for a larger view.

Becky near the gift shop where we spent a couple of hours looking at more lighthouse souvenirs than you can imagine.  They had an amazing amount of nautical things.

These pictures were taken at the ruins of the ancient Pemaquid settlement. This settlement dates back to the early 1600's. Our ancestor, Ralph Blaisdell, spent time here after being shipwrecked in 1635 before moving on to southern Maine and later to Massachusetts.
