Nicholas and Barbara Steele were living on the Garland place in 1827 according to George Garland's will probated in 1829. Some of Nicholas and Barbara's children must have been born there.
It is not known where Nicholas and Barbara are buried but it is believed to be near the village of Dott, Fulton County. The reason for this was, Barbara was living with her daughter, Mrs. William E. Mellott (Lucinda) when she died.  William and Lucinda were living near Dott, PA at this time.
