In the name of God amen I Jacob Hess of Belfast Township
Fulton County State of Pennsylvania Being in good health in Body and Sound
mind Memory and understanding prased be God fur it considering the ententy
of Deth and the unecertenty of the time thereof and to this End I
now be the Better prepared to leave this world whenever it Shall pleas God
to call me hence do therefore meak and declear this my Last will and
testiment in maner folowing that is to say first prinsable I commend my
Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator. I now bequeth to my
beloved wife all the personal property that we have as long as she lives
fur her use and the use of her house we now live in to have to her one use
as long as She lives: Now I bequeth to my Son Daniels Hess Deseads Son
Jacob Calvin Hess one Dollar and no more I Now Bequeth to my
sone Jeremiah Hess One Dollar and No more and my Doter Rebeca Hockensmith
Heirs' six Dollars and no more I now bequeth to my Dauter Mary Ann Dishon
one Dollar and no more I now Bequeth to my Dauter Catherin
Mellott and My Son Nelson Hess and George Hess is to have all the Balance
that is left after all funeral expences and just debts is paid and the
diferant Somes to the above mentioned Heirs and my Son Benjamin Hess has
got his full shear and is to have no more I now Bequeth to my grand
Dauter Meary Catherin Hess a Dauter of Sarah Hess deseased one dollar and
no more.
and I do hereby nominate constitut and appoint Nelson Hess
and George Hess of Belfast Township Fulton County State of Pennsylvania
Ecetors of my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all
former and oather wills by me at any time heretofore maid and declear this
only to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I the testator
have to this my last will and testament site my hand and seal this 16th
day of December A.D. 1870.
