ALLEE CEMETERY, CALIFORNIA, MONITEAU COUNTY, MO.

BACK

My sister and I had the pleasure of visiting the Allee Cemetery recently.  It is a well cared for, pretty little cemetery, sitting on the top of a small hill.  Many of the oldest stones are in remarkably good condition. Most of Mother's Howard and Allee ancestors are buried there with the exception of William David Howard and his wife, Mary Hess Howard who are buried in Williams Coal Creek Cemetery in Miami, OK. We took lot's of pictures, a few of which are below. Click on them for a larger view and use your browser's "back" button to return to this page.

Directions to the cemetery:

From California, Missouri, turn north on Route 87 from US 50.  Go .06 mile to route "O", then 2.1 miles on "O" to Painter Road.  Turn left (west). Go 2.8 miles (past Milligan Road over a small bridge to Anderson Road).  Cemetery can be seen at this point straight ahead; but you have to continue on Painter Road right, then at the next bend STOP and the cemetery is to your left through the gate up the hill. When we went, I don't think the roads were marked well with the names, but the mileage was right on and made it a snap to navigate!
