This website is about my family, the West and O'Bryan families of central Missouri and what I have learned about our history. Genealogy is an endless subject so this site will be a work in progress. It is divided into two main sections; my father's family, the WESTS and my mother's family, the O'BRYANS. Those two sections can be accessed by using the links on the left side of this page.  Both of those pages will have links to family information, some great old pictures, and hopefully some documents when I get the time to add them

"Supplement to the Hess Family in America 1984", by Barbara Allison contains many years of family research done by Barbara.  She has graciously allowed me to copy it to this website.  Thank you, Barbara!

The "Photo Album" contains some of my favorite personal photos. There are also photo albums on the West and O'Bryan pages.  If you like to look at family pictures, dig right in!  If you have any that you would like to add, E-MAIL me.

"Family News" is where I'll try to post a little news or what ever strikes my fancy!

We all know that West kids are the cutest! Mother had lots of pictures of them all.  She was so proud of all of them.  I decided that an album of some of them would be in order. Check them out on "West Kids"

This is a picture of my parents, Elmo James WEST Sr. and Ellen O'BRYAN/O'BRIEN WEST.  They were married for 61 years.  Dad passed away October 12, 2001 at the age of 97.  Mother passed away in 1985 at the age of 82.  I miss them every day.  They had eight children;  Florence Elizabeth, Elmo James Jr.,
Alvin Eugene, Charles Glenn, Marilyn Nadine, Thomas Richard, Lois Elaine who was stillborn, and ME........Linda Frances!  They also have BUNCHES of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even some great-great-grandchildren.
